Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs the terms under which payments made on the Sanctified Dating platform are considered eligible or ineligible for refund. This document applies to all financial transactions related to subscriptions, event registrations, and voucher purchases on the platform operated by Sanctified Dating LLC, a U.S.-registered company.

Payments covered under this policy are made exclusively through our official domains:

  • app.sanctified.dating (the primary dating platform, which also includes our Progressive Web Application (PWA) allowing users to access the platform on their devices)
  • sanctified.dating (our public-facing marketing website)

1. Purpose and Transparency

This Refund Policy is designed to uphold transparency and consumer protection while safeguarding the integrity of the Sanctified Dating platform and the services we provide. It aligns with international digital commerce standards and consumer protection regulations, including:

  • The European Union’s Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU)
  • The UK Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations regarding e-commerce and digital goods
  • The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

As a provider of digital services with immediate delivery upon account access or voucher redemption, Sanctified Dating operates under exemptions recognized for non-tangible, personalized, and non-returnable digital goods.

2. Digital Subscriptions

2.1 Nature of Subscriptions

Sanctified Dating offers paid subscriptions that grant access to private community features, digital content, messaging, and services tailored to the Adventist faith community. These subscriptions are non-recurring and do not automatically renew. All subscriptions are delivered electronically and considered fully consumed once access is granted or verification begins.

2.2 Non-Refundable Terms

In accordance with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, all subscription payments are final and non-refundable, including but not limited to:

  • Monthly or multi-month membership plans
  • Manual payments for fixed access durations
  • Gift voucher redemptions
  • Services rendered prior to account termination or restriction

Refunds are not granted in the following cases:

  • User dissatisfaction after purchase
  • Change of mind or inactive use
  • Failure or refusal to complete verification
  • Account suspension or removal due to policy violations

2.3 Verification-Linked Subscriptions

All users must complete a verification process confirming that they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in Terms of Use, Section 2 – Eligibility, namely:

  • They are baptized Seventh-day Adventist Christians
  • They are official members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing
  • They are not under any current or ongoing disciplinary restrictions
  • They are 18 years of age or older

If a user fails this process or provides false information, their account will be permanently banned and their subscription payment will not be refunded, as outlined in Terms of Use, Section 2.3 and Privacy Policy, Section 4.2.

2.4 Free Access Offer

Individuals who register before May 31, 2025 will receive one (1) month of free access, without being required to enter payment details. This offer is available after the public launch of the platform and is not retroactive. Refunds do not apply to this free period.

3. Gift Vouchers

3.1 Description

Sanctified Dating offers digital gift vouchers that can be purchased by anyone and gifted to other eligible individuals. These vouchers correspond to fixed-duration access (e.g., 1, 2, 3, or 7-month subscriptions).

Gift vouchers do not auto-renew and must be redeemed manually by the recipient within their account. Redemption activates a one-time, non-recurring subscription period based on the selected duration.

3.2 Voucher Usage Conditions

  • Valid for 12 months from the purchase date
  • Transferable and not tied to a specific individual
  • Redeemable only by users who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in Terms of Use, Section 2 – Eligibility. Vouchers must be manually redeemed within the user’s account to activate access.

3.3 Non-Refundable Terms

All gift voucher purchases are non-refundable, even in the following scenarios:

  • The recipient chooses not to use the voucher
  • The recipient is ineligible or fails verification
  • The voucher is lost, shared with the wrong person, or otherwise misused
  • The purchaser changes their mind

4. Event Registrations

4.1 Nature of Events

Sanctified Dating occasionally hosts in-person events, meetups, or retreats. Registration fees for these events cover non-refundable expenses such as venue bookings, hospitality, food, speaker arrangements, and logistical planning.

4.2 Refund Policy for Events

Event registration payments are non-refundable, including in cases of:

  • Personal change of plans or travel issues
  • Visa denial
  • Weather or transport delays
  • Illness or emergencies

If Sanctified Dating cancels an event due to unforeseen circumstances such as force majeure, venue issues, local restrictions, or public health concerns, we may, at our sole discretion, issue full or partial refunds or offer transferable credits for future events.

5. Duplicate Charges or Unauthorized Transactions

If you suspect you were charged more than once or see a transaction you did not authorize, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of the transaction at [email protected]. We will:

  • Investigate the incident
  • Reverse or refund the charge if found to be a valid error

You may be asked to provide proof of the duplicate charge or unauthorized transaction to support your claim.

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

Sanctified Dating encourages users to first contact our support team to resolve billing concerns before initiating any dispute with a financial institution.

Important: Fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks (e.g., seeking a refund after full use of the platform) may result in:

  • Permanent account termination
  • Recovery of funds via legal action
  • Reporting to relevant fraud prevention agencies

7. Technical Limitations Disclaimer

Sanctified Dating is not responsible for access issues caused by user-side technical limitations, such as outdated browsers, unsupported devices, poor internet connectivity, or incorrect system configurations. These do not constitute grounds for a refund.

8. Fraud Prevention and Abuse

We reserve the right to refuse a refund, reverse a transaction, or terminate access if we detect suspicious activity, abuse of payment systems, use of stolen cards, or attempts to circumvent platform policies.

9. Payment Gateway Notice

As of the time of this policy’s publication, Sanctified Dating is in the process of integrating secure online payment systems. Once active, all payments processed through these systems will be governed by this Refund Policy.

This policy is published in advance to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure readiness for third-party review.

10. Right to Amend

We reserve the right to revise this Refund Policy at any time. Updates will be published on this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.

12. Severability

If any provision of this Refund Policy is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Exceptions Required by Law

While our services are non-refundable by default, we comply with any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction. Users in certain regions (such as the European Union) may have legal rights to withdraw from digital purchases within a specific period under certain conditions, unless such rights are waived at the time of purchase.

By completing the purchase and accessing the platform immediately, users acknowledge and agree to waive any applicable cooling-off or withdrawal periods for digital content, as permitted under local consumer protection laws, including Directive 2011/83/EU in the European Union.

14. Refund Processing Timeframe

If a refund is approved (e.g., due to duplicate transaction or technical error), it will be processed within 7 to 14 business days using the original payment method. Exact timing may depend on your bank or card issuer.

15. No Pro-Rated Refunds

We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial use of a subscription term. Once a subscription period begins, the full amount is due and non-refundable.

16. Eligibility Verification Waiver

By purchasing a subscription or redeeming a voucher, users acknowledge that their eligibility will be verified. If a user is later found ineligible due to false or incomplete information, no refund will be granted.

17. Refund Request Procedure

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Requests submitted through other channels (such as social media, live chat, or messaging apps) may not be honored.
